Cosmic Irony

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction – Newton’s Third Law

I took AP Physics in high school, but to be painfully honest that’s been a few more years ago than I’d like to admit so there isn’t a whole lot I remember. Due to cosmic irony however Newton’s Third Law is one principle that I can’t seem to forget. It seems as though whenever something happens in my life there always has to be something equal and opposite that happens in return. Of course the irony part of all of this is that it seems to happen when things start to go well and then some cosmic force decides that my life just can’t be that easy or go that well and some unforeseen event seems to occur wherewith that equal and opposite force brings me right back to where I started from.

Is this just me? Does anyone else ever feel like this or is the Universe just plotting against me?

(This is where I found my image...I think I needed that!)

It's just one of those months...you know...nothing too terrible...

Thanks for the concern and I'd love to talk :)

Maybe the Universe is just plotting against you AND me.

MOTWB - Sorry it's you too, but glad it's not just me :)

interestingly, about 2 days ago my husband said, "things are really going great right now baby. i'm so happy." to which i replied, "it's the calm before the storm, b. enjoy it while it lasts."
he thinks i'm a pessimist. i prefer the term "physipsychiatrist." after all, it's newton's law married up with murphy's law.

Khandrea - About a month ago I actually found myself feeling like life was going really well...that's what I get for going against my common belief of expecting the worst and then you're pleasantly surprised if better happens :)

For Valentine's Day my husband got me a sweatshirt with Eeyore on it because I'm such a pessimist...but like you I prefer to believe it's just being prepared for the storm that's going to hit rather than to be blindsided by it :)

Curse them that Newton and Murphy!

I definitely feel this way too sometimes. Things start going too well and bam! I guess it's all part of the plan, although it doesn't seem fair.

Hope your month gets better!
